HSL option refers to the management of Hue, Saturation, and Luminance of any object in editing. While in Lightroom software, Curves editing is simple, but it offers only an RGB color channel during working with it. Affinity looks and feels like Photoshop if it were to invite its users to participate in the direction of designing and developing its tool. Much like Inkscape is to Illustrator - they just come off as an idealistic open source poor-man's version of the professional tools.
